TEMPORARY SEASONAL MAINTENANCE HELP                  

 I.       NATURE OF POSITION

  • Perform unskilled and semi-skilled labor and operate a variety of motor vehicles and equipment. Perform other duties and related activities as may be assigned.     

II.      TYPICAL DUTIES (May include, but not limited to):

 

BOILER MAINTENANCE:

 

  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of boilers and heating systems.

PAINTING:

 

  • Paint with roller, brush, airless sprayer all types of paint, lacquer, and stain, interior and exterior.  Must not be afraid of heights and be capable of working on tall ladders and from steel staging.  Must have knowledge and experience to do a competent painting job.

LAWN CARE:

  • Duties involve operating a riding lawn mower, gas operated hand mowers, weed-eaters, and participating in all types of lawn care.

CONSTRUCTION:

  • Must be able to work with power table saw, cut-off saw, and electrical hand tools.

GENERAL LABOR:                                                                                                   

  • Assist in any of the above categories as required.  Haul heavy freight, haul trash, general ground policing, parking lot striping, wash cars, haul supplies, etc.

CUSTODIAL:

  • Assist in the cleaning of school buildings
  1. Clean and maintain all floors and walls. 
  2. Remove garbage.
  3. Dust, clean all windows, desks, blackboards, and accessories.
  4. Clean all restrooms and other plumbing facilities
  5. Report needed maintenance to building custodian and/or building principal.                                    
  6. Perform other duties and related activities as may be assigned.                                 

 

III.    PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned.  Demonstrate the ability to work successfully with other related personnel.  Maintain a neat and clean appearance.  Must be able to read and write the English language, have good eye, hand, and foot coordination.  Must use proper language toward superiors and among co-workers at all times.  Certain jobs require that you be clean-shaven.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  1. Must have current Montana Driver’s license.
  2. Must have basic driving skills.
  •  WORKING CONDITIONS:
  1. Work may be outside in all kinds of weather; may require heavy lifting.
  •  RESPONSIBILITY:
  1. Must be capable of completing assigned work. Responsible for compliance with safety rules and regulations.
